Remote Window Operation

I just purchased a 2003 G35 sedan (Canadian base model). Auto. No premium nor Aero package. When I use the remote control or keys to roll up/down the windows, only the front windows work. However, the owners manual indicate all windows should activate. My friend owns a 2004 model and all 4 windows function with the remote or key. When I brought it to the dealer, they were unsure if my model should operate all the windows. They are still investigating. Can anyone confirm this?

thanks.

Re: Remote Window Operation

It means you don't have the premium package. The premium package for 03 & 03.5 made all four windows operate remotely. No biggie!!!!!

You can also close the windows with the remote? I have always thought just open them, never tried to close them.

Re: Remote Window Operation

Only the front two windows dropping is an indication of having no Premium Package. I had the same question about my 6MT sedan, and that was the answer I got when I asked the dealer. However, I my windows only can open via the key fob, not close.

Re: Remote Window Operation

I wondered this as well because the owners manual indicates that if the car is equipped with leather all 4 windows should roll down with the key fob, but on my car only the front two go down. I figure I like it better that only the two fronts roll down to air out the car and save me the trouble of having to roll them up when I get in it.

Re: Remote Window Operation

...because pulling up on 2 additional levers is just too many movements???

You can roll the windows up and down using the key in the door lock.

"When I use the remote control or keys to roll up/down the windows, only the front windows work."

"this is true, but i believe the topic is "remote" window open!"

The subject was "Remote window operation", but in the post he talks about using a key.

"You can roll the windows up and down using the key in the door lock."

If you have premium pkg, all 4 windows go up and down using the key in the door lock.
