Installed MREV2 today :)
Big thanks to Derek178 from ChicagoZ.com for hooking me up with the MREV2 for a great price.
I installed it today in about two hours. Took my time to do the install, clean up the cylinder ports and take pics
The difference in power is very noticable. In second the car pulls wild after 4500.
I identified the difference between the stock lower plenum and the MREV2 for anyone that is interested. When I was considering this mod, I could not find a single side by side pic of the two plenums.

I compared the two and found that there were potential machining marks on the inside of the intake chambers. Other than the design of the intake chambers and potential machining, I'm not sure of the physics behind why mating a non-revup plenum to a revup motor nets such big gains.

I would just buy a non revup plenum and send it off to get some port and polishing to it to flow better. The revup plenum have shorter runner then the non rev-up. What MD does is buy non revup plenum and machine them to make them flow better. I am sure there is couple other secrets along with it but the base product is a NON REV-UP plenum aka stock plenum from 2003-2007 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION G35 lower plenum

Thanks guys ........ I did read a lot of threads saying that Mrev2 and non-RevUp are basically identical, but I didn't find any threads where people used OEM non-RevUp + spacer on their RevUp motor, everyone seems to be buying the Mrev2 + spacer ........
While reading other threads, dyno tests prove that if people use Mrev2 on their non-RevUp motors, that they will gain maybe 2-4hp (due to smoother flow, I'm assuming) ...... so I'm guessing I will be losing 2-4hp if I go with non-RevUp+spacer VS Mrev2+spacer ....... which I think it’s not bad at all, considering I would still be gaining 15-20hp, plus I will save $250-$300 by buying non-RevUp over Mrev2.
Anyway, that’s what I have gathered by reading all these different threads about Mrev2 and stuff ...... please correct me if my logic is wrong

I plan to get a lower plenum from an automatic and just work on the porting / polishing the intake runner and the plenum as well. it is pretty easy to do and very cheap when you think about it. The problem is a spacer will make no difference to a revup motor without the plenum. I am not in the mood to be spending $600 for 15whp. I can accomplish the same results for half that and even if i do not get the same performance as a genuine mrev2 my wallet will thank me. I can put that $$$ towards other mods like exhaust, tint, system or even some fluids to freshen up the car.

my oem looks like a mrev2... could you perhaps have mixed up the pics? i have a 2003 6mt... or could they have installed a mrev2 on my car from the factory? see pic. i also noticed the mrev2 pictured above has the letters M L1 & M R1 on it, mine has M L2, & M R2 on it, what does that mean?

they changed it on 6mt 05-06 "rev up" motors
