Automatically lock doors when driving?

Is there a way to setup the power door locks so that they will automatically lock once the car gets moving? Its a 'feature' on most other vehicles I've owned but doesn't seem to be working on my '06 sedan.

Help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Ok so its by-design that the doors don't auto lock
Seems strange for a new-ish car.
Wife's 2000 Civic can do this....

Auto Lock Doors....NOT! =(

This isn't something I'd want to do, what if you're in an accident and they can't get the doors open because you locked 'em? A friend of mine's wife burned to death because they couldn't get the door open in time....

^ Great point!

IMO, it's one of the most annoying features on a car as well.

Most of the cars I've driven don't do this.

I have my G35, an IS250, a couple of new benz's that I drive regular. They don't lock.

Only car i've been in that locked the doors was a 2000ish Durango.

My doors will sometimes just lock when the car is turned off or running. Does anyone know why this is? I won’t start my car up in the morning to let it warm up because I am scared the keys will get locked in the car.

Most Vans have that feature, I know the honda oddessy and the caravan has it. I think its a safety feature for kids.

Our cars have a feature where the doors are automatically locked if the car senses that you unlocked the doors and there is no activity. BTW If you have the smart key the car will never lock them in.

The Autolock feature is primarily made for car jackings..ect stuff like that. So someone cant swing by and just pull you out or steal.. w/e

If your a bad area you'll know when you should Lock/roll up

I actually like the fact that the G doesn't treat you like an idiot. If you need the doors locked, you can lock the doors, it doesn't assume you always want the doors locked. My granddad’s C1500 locks the doors when you put it in drive and then unlocks them when you put it in park. It's really annoying because I'll go to get out to open a gate or something like that... pull the handle... locked... he has to put it in park... then I can get out. Just a bunch of wasted time IMO.

The one think that does get annoyint though is if you do lock the doors while driving, and pull on the handle, the door doesn't open still. You need to actually unlock the door first before you can pull the interior handle and get out.
