Shift ****

I want to install my Momo shift **** only. Not changing the shift boot.
How do you remove the shift ****. Manual transmission '05
Does it twist off? Clip? does the center console / arm rest have to be taken out?

Thanks

Really dude, do a search you'll get 100 questions on the same page.

It twists off, it's hard as **** to get off but it'll twist off. Clamp the shifter(with a clamp or your hand, just make sure it doesn't go anywhere) as you turn the ****.

BTW, you don't need to pull up the shift plate like the above thread says. But if it's really stuck on there you might. I haven't on any 6mt cars I've been in.
