G35 dies

I have an 04 G35 car has been great. Just the other day sitting at a light the car dies took about 2 min to get her to start. The check engine light stays on and it died one other time. does anybody have any ideas. thanks

Take a guess and say throttle body. $500ish repair

Could be wrong though....

Could, but it could also be totally shot. You can have it cleaned for way less than replacing it though. I would wait and see what the mechanic says before getting too worried, could be something simple.

Try cleaning the MAF. If that doesn't work reset the ECU. If that doesn't work clean the throttle body.

If all that fails, time to replace the throttle body.

Although from the other threads, it's probably the TB, that is exactly what I recommend

Before you start trying to fix things (even though these very well could be your culprit) go read the CEL codes that are coming up. Makes for deducing the problem much easier and 100% smarter.
