^ well, now that I know that it is both rare and coveted, I no longer think it is ugly, but instead the most awesome thing on the planet. And I have to get a dog

Well, I picked up the car tonight and all I can say is WOOHOO!!! What a difference in power, handling and balance vs my old '95 Maxima, lol. And I've learned my lesson already on the traction control...it will remain on unless I want to do a burnout. I just about lost it in a twisty section at about 60. I will say it responded well to correction, but made me pucker nonetheless.

I will be keeping this car Pics to come tomorrow...

Thanks! I have to admit I'm not a fan of slammin' low, so let the beatings commence. I'm not sayin' I would never drop a little though, especially when there are such easy and cheap options as Z/coupe springs. And 215s feel like bicycle tires on this thing. Great, my mod budget used to go all to my lifted jeep and now it has to share.

Yeah, now that I really look at the DD in person, my fondness for it has increased. I'm a fan.

That's what I did. Shocks and springs off a 2004.5 350Z I love it, haven't looked back at all. It's very streetable. Also, you have the red shocks so all you have to do is change springs. That will save you some $. If you want before/after pics, I can find my thread

Thanks. Now, I will erase that pic from my memory, lol. That looks great. I could deal with that. Are those Z springs all around?

What's the reason for mixing Z and coupe? Is that to give it a little forward rake or a spring rate preference?

Yup, just a stance preference. I'm an 'even wheel gaps' guy, not a 'level car' guy if ya know what I mean. That said, the difference is very slight from coupe to Z rears. I looked at a lot of pics and just liked the G/Z look better.

Here we go, a little pic whoring. BTW, the lady at Infiniti Consumer Affairs who looked up the option list didn't know what she was doing, I guess. I specifically asked if it had the Premium package (Bose, dual climate, rear reclining, pass power seat, etc) and she said no, but lo and behold, it does have every last item in that package. Just doesn't have the Winter package and Nav.

I had it backwards...the damage was on the driver's side.

Woof, woof.

The only thing my cousin wasn't satisfied with on the rebuild is the rear seat bottom. The original had holes in it (dog, presumably), so he pulled another bottom from one of his parts cars, but it had some weathering. He said he would find me a better one.

Worst scratch on it.
