Whats up Smoke! Yeah, I feel ya on the first part of the post. Im up in the north, in a F*ckin bowl! I have only been here for 2 weeks and I already want to get the hell out of here. But I cant, I gots bills to pay!

The money is here, usually 70% uplift to your base pay. I think Kuwait is only 25-30% now because they deemed it a non-war zone now.

 

I was up there last December and yeah it was freaking cold! But the snowtop mountains was a site to see! Stay safe That1GuyG35

 

I'm looking forward to seeing the snow topped mountains but not the cold weather. Ugh, I hate cold.

Why couldn't we be at war with someone in a warmer climate! They should plan these things out better!

 

Do you have your wet weather gear? Your gonna need it real soon. That was the only place here that rained and snowed at the same time. Yeah the taliban should base out of the Tropic islands!

 

Glad to hear your coming back safe. Hopefully i will get out there next year. I know its not what your going through, but our deployment ends soon and i cant wait to see my car so i know that feeling. I'm in the same boat with the wife though she thinks im going to spend all my time on the car and not here when i get back.

It's slang for "Battle Buddy", which is the first thing you are issued in Basic Training. After you have some time in, everyone is your "Battle". It's an Army thing. It's all about respect.
