I would look at having some PDR (Paintless Dent Removal) done. I had four dents in my car, all taken care of for $300. Car looked brand new when it was done.

depends on the extent of a dent, a pdr is cheaper, but some can't be done and require more work. $600 would have to be a pretty bad dent with a crease or something.

I was quoted for $450 at a body shop for a small ding from a shopping cart on the passenger rear quarter panel.

I agree with the other posters. Go see if it can be done using paintless dent removal. I was quoted over $1000 for a dent on my truck. They wanted to replace the whole door and respray everything. Needless to say I didn't get it fixed. Looking back on it I probably could have done PDR and buffed out the scratch for ~$200.

PDR is useless if the paint is cracked in anyway...2 buddies own PDR compamies here in SoCal. if the dent is on a crease then it may not be do-able by way of PDR.

If the quote is for repairing a dent with paint blend it may not be too much what they are quoting You.

Pic cha!
There's an awesome guy in the tri-valley that can perform miracles on most dents. Let's see a pic and I'll recommend if I think he can tackle it.

Ya' know, I know exactly the dent you're talking about!

If I had a face palm gif/pic, I would insert it here.

^ I got tons...

+1 on PDR... actually +1 on pics... then we'll all be able to give beter advice.
I had PDR done on one of my previous cars for a few small dings. They were completely erased. I only have one problem on the G, but it's scratched the paint as well, so I'll have to deal with it later. Waiting until I get a bumper and some other things done first.

Pretty hard to even comment when you don't describe the dent in the slightest and don't provide a pic.

$600 could be the bargin of the decade or be a rip.
