They have to spray the whole bumper to blend it in and IP is 3 stage paint so that adds to the price.

 

Well then with a quote of $600 and $1100 it sounds like this is a serious dent.

 

Why don't you buy an aftermarket bumper and just painted. Guaranteed it will be cheaper. I would tell that shop to GTFO with that price. A good paint shop will charge $350 for the bumper in IP. You can prob get a used bumper if you wanted off ebay or again, just go aftermarket, should cos less than 600....and then you can try and sell your dented bumper to a junkyard or something.

 

damn.. I paid 800 for a new bumper and paint at my body shop. I also have an IP.

 

Well, depends on the cost of the bumper. Several places I've gone to have quoted 300 for paint, 350 for IP. Then again that was without test fitting and no modifications.

 

So the dent is on the bumper?

I got an 05 rear bumper, paint (IP), sills, and roof in black for $571... but I'm friends with the shop manager so....

You can pick up an unpainted rear bumper for around $240
