yea tint em, just get em done right. the best quality overlays are lamin-x, go to www.lamin-x.com and get clear sidemarkers and smoke them out also

IMO, if you decide to tint them, go with either bluebatmobile's overlays or VHT Niteshades + clearcoat.

If you're legit about them get them sprayed by a pro. They basically take clear coat and tint it black and spray it on.

Good choice modding the reverse lights like that, I did them the same way. Looks better than the 05-06 ones and look very similar as the 07-08 ones

I can't stand drivers with tinted lights at all. Isn't that an oxy-moron? However! I am a victim of HID in halogen lamps! In all seriousness, the tinted lights look terrible IMO, and they are a huge hazard. Plus they have a different finish than your car and it shows, just looks akward. If you must why not just get the JDM black headlights?

^ you're talking about a lot of different **** in that post.

JDM lights; those are headlights, we're talking about tail lights. And that name SUCKS (JDM headlights)

HID in Halogens; You're a victim of being beamed by the filthy glare of doom? Or victim of having them in your car?

Tinted tails; they CAN look different than your car, but when done right they can have the same luster as your car and look well matched. On our cars they really aren't a hazard at all, as others have mentioned, we have incredibly bright LED tail lights. Even with a decent tint, they are brighter than 80% of the cars on the road.

If you honestly almost hit a car due to tinted tails you should seriously get your eyes checked and shouldn't be driving, and/or pay better attention. Even if someone had a 5% tint on their tails you should still be able to see.

so are you saying that the visibility of tinted tail lights are as good as a non-tinted one? lol... AT NIGHT, they are PRETTY CLOSE where i couldn't careless.. but during the day, the difference is very noticeable. does your rice rocket have tinted tails? mine doesn't.

Well for me, when i drive i don't fixate my eyes on the persons taillights directly in front of me. So lets say you put a car in front of me with painted black tails and no light could pass through i would still have enough awareness to see when traffic is coming to a stop. I mean really it's a stupid excuse when you think about it. I've driven behind plenty of cars during the day and night with all types of tinted tails and have not once ever had a problem seeing brake lights. So the way i see it, unless your fixated on the smoked out light ahead of you(assuming they must be double layered limo tint since you can't see light shining through) then you should have a problem "almost" rear-ending someone. It def. makes the visibility worse, that's a given but to me thats no excuse for someone to "not see" traffic stopping.

^ agree totally. I have, however, seen one car that was so darkly tinted I could not see light when braking in daylight. Black dodge charger murdered out. It was too dark for my taste but I still knew when he was slowing down
