On The Verge Of Picking Up A New G

Well at least new to me. After searching for a couple months I finally found a deal on a decent G35 Sedan. I ended up coming across a 2005 G35x sedan with 42,xxx for 16,500 from a Infiniti dealer. The exterior of the car looks in good condition, interior is in good shape. Is there any problems I should look out for, or should I be on the safe side since its coming from a official infiniti dealer & im also prob going to go with a extended elite warranty on it. Carfax and Autocheck, dont come back with anything out of the ordinary. 2 owners, first was a 3yr lease, and second only owned the car for about a year. Got the service history report also. First owner doesn't look like she maintained the car. All that shows for the entire time it was owned by the first owner is the 15,000 service and a brake check for squeekyness. The second owner looks as if he/she did 3k mile oil changes(im guessing thats what the performed 27pt inspection is) up until 2/25/09, some tsb's and thats where his info ends. Car went up for sale at the Infiniti dealer in Nov. Now does this sound like a safe/good deal being that Im looking to purchase from a Infiniti Dealer and Im also taking a Extended Warranty with it. Also whats everyones view on the 2 previous owner thing. Would you buy a car with 2 previous owners? Any insight is appreciated, being that this would be a pretty big purchase for me, and Im looking to keep the car and it last a couple years. Thanks in advance!

seems like a good deal to me, i picked up my 2005 AT non-X for 19 out the door, but i ended up adding infiniti warranty with deductible. i feel i got a fare deal since the car only had 36k miles. but then again.. if your shopping @ a dealer u cant expect the best price.
GL to you sir.

I just bought an 06 X at the dealer for $16... had to drive 120 miles to get it. Kbb had it priced at 20, it pays to do some shoppin and that 2 hour drive was well worth the 5k it saved me

I'd say with those low miles, it sounds like a good deal to me. Especially if CarFax didn't show anything.

just make sure you go during the day and inspect the hell out of it . check fender bolts under hood to see if they've been removed or get a paint meter if you're worried it's been in an accident. Check the radio and windows to see if they all work, if not, make the dealer replace them

Thanks for the help & advice. Puts my mind at ease. Just with the two previous owners I don't want to purchase someone elses problems, because I want to keep the car for the long run. I guess that's the chance u take with purchasing pre-owned. No pictures of the car yet but ill make sure I post some up if I go through with the deal. Cars a auto btw. My past two cars have been 5 speed and I want a Lil rest from that.

^Good. Reason I asked is because some the 6speed MT ones had an oil consumption problem.

You should still be under Powertrain Warranty, check with Infiniti USA to be sure. I bought my 05 G35 6MT with 38k for 16.8k. So good deal, I think. Where did you get service records from? If carfax, not every dealer reports the service to Carfax. You might want to ask your dealer print it off for you. That is what I did at least. Good luck.
