If it's going to make you feel better,
I've ran about 2-3 Bmw 545s from dig and roll, non of them have caught up to me and expect the mph well in the triple digits...
Ran a 540i with boltons and dinan chip. 20-120 took it by car and a half...

Both of those cars are low 14 high 13 second cars...

If you wanna improve your performance, start the bolt on process...

My next mod should be technosquare tune...
and maybe 100shot to have around for track days...

14.75 or 14.85 is what i did because i was curious one day.

I have a heavy weight 2005 G35x as well, reclined seats, full size spare, navi. you name and its on the car minus spoiler and splash guards. only good thing is i weight 150-160

14.75-14.85 in chicago was the best of 3 pulls by me. 14.9 was the best with my GF behind the wheel and me.

I love to see a really fat guy driving a Honda Civic with stripped interior for 'weight savings' I always want to say "hey, I've got an idea! ....."
I think that might cross a line of acceptable behavior though

A G35X optioned out with a spare (30lbs), reclining rear seats (50lbs?), Navi system (40lbs?), full tank of gas (120lbs), sunroof, splash guards, etc. and you're over 3900lbs.

Same model, 400 pound swing.

What is the nav made out of? granite? its a screen, some wire and a unit in the upper glove box.. not much to it.
Looks like I was dead on. Road & Track's car with the Bose, sunroof, & reclining seats, but without Navi or Aero package weighed in at 3890lbs.

Do you realize that your looking at the test weight which includes a 180 lb. driver? The actual curb weight is stated as being 3710lbs........

Actually, Road & Track's listed test weight includes a driver as well as ~75lbs of test gear on board.

Hmm...3890lbs minus 180lbs of driver minus 75lbs of gear is 3635lbs, less than Infiniti's curb weight for what I assume is a base model G35X

Maybe you missed my post it was right before DaveB:

The actual curb weight is stated as being 3710lbs........ and no it's not a base model X- it includes the premium package C(reclining seats, bose, etc.) basically everything except navi. Not seeing a 400lb swing there......

agreed.

That's what my z is for: 3.9 to sixty and 11.9 1/4s--stock (possible). Low 11s with drag radials and into the 10s with a few mods.

My z is just a cam/exhaust away from this (but I don't plan on doing this for the same reasoning you're talking about)

I did miss your post, but yes, I saw that the test weight includes a 180lb driver. So, if their premium C weighs 3710, what would a base weigh? I would think less than infiniti's number of 3650, no? My original point is that weight is a factor and every car will be different, so the 0-60 would be a range of a few tenths. The weight swing between a base w/o spare with an empty tank, vs. a fully loaded w/ spare with a full tank is 200+ either way, and can tell you that I feel a noticeable difference in acceleration with just my 130lb gf in the car. I am impressed that Road&Track did 0-60 in sub 6 seconds, though, in a car with the premium C.
