make sure they do it right (welding holes and spend the proper time getting it straight/smooth)... there are cheap ways to do it (bondo) but it can end up wavy and may not last... the "correct" way isnt cheap - but better than paying to fix it later...

^Thanks for finding and bumping this thread... you saved me having to look for it LOL!

I mounted mine dead-flush to the back of the trunk lid, so it ended up being about 6mm short on each side. I need to look up exactly what length I told them to cut it.

Ok... I ordered mine from oem.thing unpainted 1163mm, had it painted, and installed it perfectly flush against the back edge of the trunklid... Because of the taper of the trunk, it would have probably set closer to each edge if I hadn't followed the curve of the trunk so closely, but I felt it needed to mount that way.



This left almost exactly 6mm gap on each side (not really bad, but not perfectly flush)





So, just to err on the side of caution, I would round down to 5mm on each side, and say the "perfect length" should be: 1163 + 5 + 5 = 1173mm.

1165mm fit flush for me.. maybe 1166 would be best but i say 1165 is perfect.

the back is perfect, there is light space on one side, why im thinking maybe 1166... but i wouldnt risk it... 1165 has already been said is perfect fitment.

1165mm with the lip flush to the back of the trunk lid. has to be adjusted to the left a couple mm

^Yeah, they must have cut mine wrong... Mine is "1163" and yours is 1165, but looks a lot more than 2mm longer :/
