Hi, I'm new in forum. My name is Lawrence, and I just bought a 03 Sedan with black color.
I'm thinking about putting windows tint in my car, and I'm still confused what brand is good for the tint?
And which one is better for black sedan? Black tint or silver (mirror) tint?
Any pictures about black G35 with windows tinting will be very helpful.
Thanks guys

Re: Windows Tinting in Black Sedan?
Here's mine, I have 35% on the fronts and 20% on the back. This is also before I lowered the car but it is a better side shot to show the tint.

Lawrence try the search function in the Detailing/Eye Candy forum. You should find plenty of posts about tint.

I have 20% all around, very clean, never been looked at or stopped by the cops. I considered LIMO 5%, but it would have been too dark.

Re: Windows Tinting in Black Sedan?
Thanks for the pictures guys. How about the brand? What is a good brand for the tint? I heard that Huper Optik is pretty good brand for the tint? And anyone have recommendation which dealer should I go in Bay Area for Huper Optik tint?
Thanks

Anyone ever heard about V-Kool brand for windows tinting? Back in my home country, V-Kool is the best windows tinting because they reflect heat the most, but I never saw V-Kool in here. Any info about this brand in the States?

Re: Windows Tinting in Black Sedan?
just about any reputable place will use quality tint. you want to make sure they have at least a 7 or so yr warranty on work and tint. the dude i have used on all of my cars uses 3M and does great work. warranties his tint and install for 7 yrs for no fade, bubbles or peeling.

Re: Windows Tinting in Black Sedan?
Huper is ceramic and that is unique. It is the very best for heat rejection and will not conflict with satellite radio antennas or cell phones (unlike metallic tints). And it wiil not fade or discolour like 3M organic tints. It is the very best period ... but dry times are long ... very long (months in the winter).

Re: Windows Tinting in Black Sedan?
Silvia - I just got my windows tinted on my black sedan yesterday. I went to the Auto mall tint factory in fremont (http://www.automalltintfactory.com). I think they are the only dealer that carry Huber Optik and V-Kool in the bay area.
I took a quick pic of the car. I got 20% on the back window and 30% on the rear doors with Suntek film. Then I got 70% V-Kool on the front doors. It is so light that you can't even tell they're tinted, but what's is cool is that they actually reject more heat than the 20% back window!
