About to purchase '03 with pics
^ too bad, but it sounds like you're better off. if you can't afford to replace the tires on a vehicle, then you shouldn't be buying it in the first place. set your sights on something a bit more manageable and have fun!
ahahah why would i be joking? i got my car with the money insurance paid me after my car got totalled.. i had my dad go for me though.. you need to look around 30-40's or older. ahhaha i got the car from the auction for 14.75k. the guy charges a 5 or 10% commision.. then bank tax afterwards.. so total came up to like 17k.. that was still 2k cheaper than what the dealership sold for the same model before tax.

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods

Very good advice here for you. There's a world of difference between being able to afford the basic costs of owning a car and really being able to afford a car. If you can't afford tires, what would happen if you bought the car and the clutch went out?
Think about this before you decide on your next purchase please.
Blue Dream I appreciate your feed back.
but, I don't think you got the point. The clutch would be an easy and cheap DIY.
Thats what I look for in a used car. It has to be a manual. why? because I could afford to buy a clutch and install, instead of getting an automatic and having to drop 2-3 grand.
Tires. are 4-500 correct? they were pretty bald. I would have to replace pretty soon and if I had just bought this car all my money would be tied up.
But I didn't buy it.

^ just so you know, an oem clutch kit would be $4-500. and if you need an OEM flywheel you're looking at $1000+ (they are dual mass). of course you could go aftermarket and get a combo kit for $5-600. ~ the same price as new tires...just something to consider.
^ +1. Another one, the brakes might need to be replaced. Just get the VIN and call an Infiniti dealership to ask for the service records for the G you're interested in, from there you will know if the car's been maintained on schedule, and if any TSB's been performed.
Besides test drive, I'd also check if the car comes with all the original accessories - manual booklets, original window sticker, 2 keys + 2 remote + 1 valet key, first aid kit, cargo net, spare tire, tire iron and such. Not only those small things show how the previous owner cared about the car, they could also help you negotiate the deal if anything's missing.

I was looking at buying from them, they seem to have some good deals. Infact I almost made an inquiry about that same car. Even though they have a free Autocheck report, I would also spring for a CarFAX report, just to be on the safe side.
I have 03.5 6mt...brilliant silver exterior and black interior. Excellent buy on that car you are considering. Veryyyyy fast and easy to drive. Lot's of fun. I believe it will do 0-60 in 5.79 secs. I run Mobil1 5w30 also
