2003 G35 Sedan: an update of 7 years

Hello to my fellow g35 drivers, it has been ages since I posted on this forum. This forum rocks with great insight and information. I purchased my car new in July 2003 and I just wanted to share my experience..now a 7 year old car. I have 99000 miles!

It seems like everyone has experienced at least one or more of these problems.
The problems I've experienced:
- Paint is too soft and chips easily
- CD error (fixed under warranty)
- Drivers seat moving back and forth (fixed under warranty) seems like its coming back again!
- Squeaking noises coming from the front end (time to replace compression rods/bushings)
- Bad Wheel bearings (passenger side) replaced both sides
- Windshield wipers slapping hard (haven't fixed cause prob comes and goes)
- Interior Rattles (used weatherstrips but rear shelf still rattles) Note: have 10" sub
- Passenger side door regulator bolts were about to fall off (luckily, it didn't ruin my tints)
- Fuel gauge is not accurate (seems like fuel sending unit is bad??)

Here's a picture of the fuel gauge when filled up to full at the pump

Every time I try to fill up, the gauge never reads full and I only can top off around 14-15 gallons. I avg about 230-270 miles until it reads empty.
Has anyone have the same problem? I no longer have warranty...and wanted to know if anyone has fixed this problem?

After all this experience I still love my G35 .. However, Infiniti would not be my next purchase in the near future.

Looks like this might be a common problem.

I'd say most of those are well-known problems and you can find fixes for a lot of them on the site.

For the fuel gauge problem, maybe the fuel treatment product would help. I found out about this when I added some Lucas fuel treatment to the tank; it was supposed to do the fuel system treatment but I noticed it also helped to bring the gauge to the top after fill up. The problem came back after a while though; now it'd slowly climb up to the top after driving a few miles. Maybe it's time for another fuel treatment.....
