I plan to get a Z tube, K&N and Exhaust for my Sedan at the same time. My problem I don't know which one to get. I did my researching on what seems to be the most popular exhausts and why.

I am heavily leaning towards the Stillen but I heard quite a bit of complaining to the droning on the 5ATs, which I have. I would like to hear some of your opinions on the Stillen or any others you recommend. Thanks for you help guys.

 

Hi lilmauwow, I too am a newby with this actually being my first post. I too have recently purchased a Sedan, with mine being a six speed. I plan on doing the same types of mods as you and have done a considerable amount of research--both on the net and in this forum. It has become apparent to me, with regard to exhaust systems, there is no clear cut favorite when considering cabin noise and performance improvement. Here is what I've concluded, if you want to change your exhaust and are worried about cabin noise, then the Borla Exhaust System is probably your best choice. I had one on my previous car and it was not a whole lot louder than stock. If you can tolerate some additional cabin noise, but want a very good system, then Stillen would be a good choice. My person choice is the Stillen Exhaust System.

The problem is, your question about the "droning" will never be answered on this forum. The only way you will know for certain is to ride in a sedan with the Stillen system or buy one and take a chance on it. Anyway, good luck.

i have a borla on my sedan and love it. The performace is awsome. The sound in all rpm ranges is great. i would go with the borla over the stillen for all those reasons. plus price.
i dont buy anything from stillen so im bias.
