Driving a G35X in rain, what gear?

My question is: for my 2006 G35X, what gear is best for driving in flooding rain conditions? I have just been keeping it in "D" but wondered if any of the other gears are better suited for driving through flooded streets everywhere?
Thanks!

P.S.
Boston is full of pot holes the size of a VW bug filled with rainwater so you can't tell they're pot holes til you hit one. I hit one and my front end hit SO hard with a loud BANG!!!!! I thought for sure my tire was going to pop off and/or I'd have front end damage. Thankfully nothing happened and it's driving fine. Whew! The car did good!

Ha ha! No kidding Gangsta!
We have some not so bright folks here in the Boston area trying to drive through streets that are lakes of flooded water and getting stuck, needing to be towed. Dumb-asses.

Just put on your rain jacket, with rain boots and a hat. That's the only gear you need to go out and push the car when you're driving through flooded streets and your car no longer moves.
cats what part of Boston are you from? I know what you're talking about, I think its MA in general that has horrible roads...

here's a trick I learned:

switch to manual mode and shift up, up, down, down, then turn left, turn right, turn left, turn right, then on the NAV press B, A, start

if that doesn't work, then at least you'll have 30 lives to play with.

Contra!

Leave it in D..no real trick to driving in the rain. Just make sure you are off the brakes and gas when coasting through a big *** puddle.

I'm from MA too...that was a hell of a lot of rain!
