Heated seat question...

So I am a new owner of a 2006 G35x and I was wondering why the heated seat buttons can go two different directions?

You can push it to the right or left but the arrow only points to the left? Is there a reason for this?

Thanks

One is for high heat, the other is low heat. My '04 6MT's switches face front/back, not left/right, so pushing button forward is high heat, pushing it back is low heat.

Just look at the size of the bars. The larger bar is the hotter side. The smaller bar is not as hot.

Doesn't make sense really. The first time i scratched my head, i was wondering what it mean.
