I normally get around 28k on the front pads and rotors (OEM) and 24k on rear (non-OEM) before they need replacing.

My advice, turn the rotors if you can and put the money you save into the car elsewhere.

I'm on 65k miles on my front brakes (06), rear pads replaced at 35k.

Your rear pads wore out before your fronts? That's not very typical.

As far as rotors go, I've always heard that you only want to have them resurfaced once. Of course it is probably okay to continue doing it until they are out of spec. When I change my pads this summer I will replace the rear rotors since they were resurfaced last time and resurface the fronts since they were replaced last time. I checked the pads last week and the fronts are about half the thickness of the rears. I'll replace both sets at the same time though.

If you look at the size difference between the front and rear pads it seems reasonable though. The 05-06 rwd sedans have larger front pads/rotors than 05x and prior models. Plus when the stability control comes on it's usually breaking the rear wheels, at least in my case! I do a lot of highway driving so my results may not be typical. I ordered a new front set when I did my rears thinking the same as you, but I have yet to change them and last time I checked they still have decent pad thickness.
