Set up and appt. @ Kelly Infiniti for Tansmisiion shudder between 2nd and 3rd, TPMS and Compression rod clunk. They told me if they cannot reproduce the sound, the fee is $130 per occurance. I said so it could cost me $390 under warranty if you cannot"reproduce the sounds etc. WTF! So that could be a $390 test drive, there service rate is only $125/hr... I will go elsewhere! What good is a warranty then.....He claimed well we diagnose then people go elsewhere, wich I understand, buit he did not say that the charge would be applied to my bill, but if I am under warranty, why would I go elsewhere? I guess I will off to Infiniti of Nashua!

Definitely sounds like BS. If the car is under the full warranty still, I don't see how they can even think about charging you..

if its under warranty they should atleast try to recreate the problem.

It would make no sense for you to go somewhere and pay for repairs when its under warranty.

I've brought my car in under warranty several times with noises/issues the dealer was not able to recreate, and was never charged for them....

kelly Infiniti in Danvers MA??

I bought my car there and had it serviced there when under warranty. I used to get minor things fixed so easily when i brought my car in. Axle click? No prob. Both comp rods when they were barely making a sound? no prob. Yellowing under the radio? No prob. Rocking drivers seat? no prob. I had a few other minor things fixed there too that they gave me no hassel at all with. They even reset my TPMS for me for free when it was my fault it was on.

In fact the service was so good there to me that I would go buy my next G37 or M37/56 there in a second.

Mustang, we are talking aboutthe same dealer. Service writer was Wayne. I will be clear he said if they could not reproduce the problem, $130 per occurance/issue. Obviously if they reproduce the issue, no charge. That is what is BS though. The compression rods is not 100%b of the time, seems moreprevelant when the car is cold so on so on, I said, you don't have a service advisor who can do a rode test, he said no, must make appt. I am not a young kid, I have bought 3 infinitis since 06 2-G35 x sedans and a QX56. I have no time or patients for that sort of mentality. I left my car running in the service bay as the TPMS lightwas on, he did not want to even look at it, even though I pointed out that it come and goes, he said must make appt. The car was originally purchased at Kelly, I also asked them about the Simonize system they installed, don't even get me going on that scam! I have bought/serviced at Herb Chambers never this BS, but I live on the coast of NH now andKelly is my closest dealer. Like I said, think I am off to Nashua......

Yeah.. There is no way I would leave it with those morons.. I would definitely talk to the manager or even the owner of that dealership if its much closer than the other dealer though, and see if that is how things are supposed to work there. The one closest to me was always amazing under warranty and if they couldnt reproduce the problem, they just told me that. But almost always, they fixed everything I mentioned.

I had a feeling that was who you were gonna say. That's about the 1 writer i would avoid there. He's just not very personable. If you want to try it again i can recommend a good service writer who handled me most of the time. More pleasant to deal with. Unsure if she is still there though as i haven't been back there in 6 months or so since my warranty is up. But i was always happy when i dealt with her.
