New guy with the G Sedan
After a few months of creeping around on the forums without registering, I've decided that its time for me to actually sign up and introduce myself.
I first found this site through the article about ttrank's G in Modified. I knew that the G was a great car but I didn't know the full extent of its potential since, at least around here (or as some of my fellow Arkansan's would say 'round these parts), the sedans are mainly driven by those of the middle aged, XX variety.
My car history includes:
2002 Subaru WRX - followed the high school male statistic and wrecked it my senior year (damn Leydig cells)
2004 Mitsubishi Evo 8 - found this puppy for like $2k on top of what I got for the WRX (I had a few mods ) but my junior year of college I got rear-ended and it had to be totaled...I loved that car - RIP
2004 350z - bought the car b/c of the low mileage and, more importantly, the twin turbo kit. But found out the hard way that show cars make bad DD's (at least this one did due to the countless amounts of shorts in the wiring).
After many headaches and frustrations, I decided to sell the Z and start looking for the G (always found it fitting due to the fact that my name's Grant). Initially I didn't know what color to get but once I saw G35papa's sedan my answer had arrived . I now own a 2006 Ivory Pearl 6MT sedan with 33k miles and is in pristine condition (still smelled like a new car when I bought it). I had to go to Dallas since there were no 6MT sedans within 500 miles but it was well worth the trip.
The car had some black 19x8.5 Niche wheels with a chrome lip on it (will post pics soon) which were decent but don't know if I like the design of the wheel or not. The mods I've put on her so far include: JWT popcharger, Z-tube, painted the grill/headlights flat black, clear turn signals and corners, HKS rear section muffler and Motordyne XYZ pipe. Installing the MREV2 and 3/16'' isothermal plenum spacer this weekend and am still debating whether I want to go with a drop next (looking at either G or Z Htechs but don't want to have to mess with camber), sway bars, HFC's or something else.
Sorry for the wall of text but I figured if I was going to post an intro thread I might as well do it right. Go big or go home eh?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Congrats and welcome to the family. Thank you for posting up an intelligent and well put together post for a n00b. We seem to be on a roll these days with some pretty idiotic new members and it's good to see someone join that has a good head on their shoulders.
You will love the G but it can get frustrating modding these things because mods aren't cheap and the power gains are minimal until you go FI. You will definitely feel more power from the MREV2 and 5/16" spacer and a drop is essential to improve the look and handling of your car. Aftermarket sways from Stillen, Hotchkis, or Motordyne will dramatically change the handling of your car as well. They provide a night and day difference in the driving dynamic of the Gs. Here's a pic of my car dropped on sedan H Techs.
The only other thing I would add about mods is finish them off with a tune. A popular choice would be an Osiris tune from a company named Uprev. The tune will squeeze all the power out of your mods and pull all of them together.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys!
So far I've told myself that all I want to do is make a really badass daily driver so that when I get into gradschool I'll be content with the mods since I won't have time to do anything to it. Given that this is my first N/A car I'm starting to really feel the boost addiction coming back *scratches at neck*.
The height of your sedan on the Htechs is exactly what I'm going for, have the fender sit just at the edge of the tire, and will almost certainly get those next. The only problem with tuning is that since everyone has their 'stangs, camaros and what not, no one tunes imports. When I had my Evo, other Evo owners would get together and drive to Memphis because it was the closest AWD dyno (never really minded though, gives me an excuse to go for some BBQ and dranks). I've only seen minimal info on the Osiris tune, randomly running into a thread about it on here, but when would you recommend getting this done?
