Just can't please you guys
Re: Just can't please you guys
This one is a no-brainer for me and I am surprised that no one else has mentioned it:
6-spd available on G35X (maybe a sport version of the X)
That's it. It has made my decision harder (I was leaning towards the X) having that upped horsepower on the 6-spd. It would be NO decision if such an animal existed.

I agree that change is inevitable. But to change just for the sake of change (which is how I view the changes for 05) is foolish. I've already discussed my design thoughts on the 05 in another thread, so I won't bore or offend anyone any further. But I do agree with many of the changes people have suggested above. I wish Infiniti would pay more attention to the suggestions their customers make. Running lights that can be disabled is a change that doesn't cost much, it's attractive to a prospective buyer, and it's practical. I know this is the "sedan" forum, but I think an AWD coupe would sell like crazy! Even WITH the changes for 05, the interior needs a complete facelift. An on-board computer showing mpg, distance until empty, average speed, etc. might be nice. Considering this is Nissan's high-end line, a spring loaded hood would be a nice touch. And get rid of that cheap horn sound when locking the doors. Even a basic Camry has a better set up!
Re: Just can't please you guys
You get the on-board computer -- real-time mpg, overall mpg, distance to empty, trip computer, etc. with the Navi system already. What should have come std. with the Navi system though is a real tire pressure monitoring system like in the FX35/45's Navi system where it shows each tire's current psi...at least then, you can pinpoint which tire is low (and exactly how low it is). We have this on our '03 FX35 and when I got my '04.5 G35 with Navi, I thought the tire pressure monitoring system would be the same as the FX35, but it's just a lame dash light...blah! I was very disappointed when I didn't see the "Tire Pressure" option in my G35's Navi system menu.
