first infiniti, what you think?
you think a drop would be too low? I thought the kit on it now was pretty low, don't want to have to worry about hitting bumps or anything. Any good sites to get a good price on rims? I like the rims on this model, was thinking about getting the kit where you can repaint them to look brand new, anyone ever do that?
As far as the rims go, they don't look terrible, but there are other OEM rims that look much better. They come up for sale here in the marketplace, on eBay, or on craigslist all the time. I pieced together a set of OEM Coupe 18's from all over the country. Not the best option because shipping is expensive, but there aren't many wheels being sold locally where I live.
bought with about $66,000 miles on it, paid I think around $11,000 for it. Everything was already done, the kits, paint, etc. Problem now is RPMs jump up but the mph doesn't go up, when you hit 40 the engine revs but won't go any faster and the car starts to shake. Check engine light came on recently, but took that to the dealership and they checked the computer chips, still waiting for the tests to come back, but the engine light came off, but problem is still happening. Something with the transmission it seems. Just want to get it fixed. Infiniti wanted to replace the whole thing and I said hell no ha, I'll take it somewhere else.
Welcome.
You're a lucky devil to have an OEM Nismo kit! A lot of us would give our left... uh... we would give something on our left side to have it
Some nice rims and a little bit of a drop would set your car off nicely.
Lucky for you, a drop is easy. You can put the shocks/struts/springs from a 350Z on the car to give you about 1" all the way around.
That's the drop I did and I'm VERY happy with it!
Just so you know, the handle in the trunk (referred to as a 'doggy door trunk' by enthusiasts) tells you the car is a first half or "2003.0" year-model. (Same as me
)
Halfway through 03 they changed to a trunk lid with no handle, changed the ECM, and a few other things. You'll see these referred to as 03.5... they're basically the same as an 04, but there were some tweaks half way through 04 too so there's still 04.0 and 04.5

OP, that's ^^ what your car could look like with very little effort and $1000 or so. Only definitely lower it like NFSP says. ludafish, drop that bish.
Dang, n00b trips over a Nismo. hahaha! Good on ya, drc, enjoy! Once you get that tranny fixed, that is.

^^Come on man, show me those wrapped in Falkens for a thousand...hey OP, Noobs without Nismo act like they are not sh*t b/c they cannot get it. I have only been throwing stuff on the G for 6 weeks with more than a "little" effort
Whoa whoa whoa, I was NOT dissing your ride or what you may have put into it. I was suggesting that the OP could put 19s on for around a grand and have a car that looks somewhat similar -- i.e. almost as NICE as yours. It was actually a compliment, sorry it didn't come off that way.

Holy freakin Land Rover J. You really need to drop that bit*h now. It looks a lot higher in the pic than it does in person. Wheels look damn good though.
BTW quit beating on Swivel, us old men gotta stick up for each other.

That is next on the list...was thinking of making the install easier by buying new sport shocks and installing the Tein's on em'. Then direct swap? Either way they are going on sooner than later for sure. It always looks worse in the pics!

Nothing but love, guys like Swivel and Blue Dream made me want the Rays since I joined up in January!
