Also, I didn't use a 'kit' to paint the wheels.

I used this:

this:

and lots of this:

The finished product was this:

I like that look, did the spray leave any uneven spots or was that pretty easy to correct with a steady hand? How much did it cost? Guessing you took the wheels off?

i don't think that's a nismo. my cousin has an 06 sedan and the front bumper also looks like a nismo. i might be wrong cause im not sure about this guy.

I'm a rattlecan ninja
Yeah, lots of prep, sanding, and a steady hand and everything comes out even. Sometimes it'll look a tiny bit uneven for like a day.

Wheels off, only way to go. Best bet is to have the tires off if at all possible.

The rims to me look outdated. I like the ones the PO had on. Those also help to "update" the car IMO. Get rid of the doggy door and people really wont know what year your car is because getting rid of the G35 doesnt really do it. LOL

NICE car! I'm jealous!!! I read somewhere you talked of getting a body kit? Well consider this DIBS on your Nismo kit if you do that!

I liked the previous owners lip spoiler on the trunk! and the rays aren't the ONLY way to go. I have the 19" wheels of an M45 on my car (I'm also dropped on 350z springs in the front and Coupe springs in the rear):

These pictures were before the drop:

Let me also say that I HATE the doggy door. I mean... most people don't really have a choice.. but if I were you I'd try getting a flat flush trunk like 03.5-06

IF you decide to rock the 17s... I'd at least get spacers for them. I never liked the look of them.. but that's only because I knew what else was out there.

I highly considered a set of the earlier Coupe 18s for my sedan. I found PLENTY on craigslist with tires for $500 or less. I almost scooped up a set for $100 that needed refinishing. It would've been a fun DIY

I like the doggy door, looks good with the color on my car. Plus you don't see many with that and the nismo body kit I have on it.

Looking good Doug

To everyone, Doug is the new owner of my car. He bought it this past October of 09. If you have any questions pertaining to what was on the car at any point, don't hesitate to ask.

Hope you get the issue you have sorted out Doug. My bet is the MAF sensor.

OH and to answer everyones question. It's an 03 (doggy door) with an OEM Aero/Nismo Kit that I bought seperately and had painted to Brilliant Silver (KY0). Doug does not have the tinted tails, a set of 05/06 tails, the coupe 19's, and a few other things the car had. I ended up selling a lot of the mods I added to it over the years before I sold it to Doug. It was dropped on revised 07 350z sport suspension with coupe springs in the rear. Had a coupe middy and HKS rear section exhaust among other things. If any of you are interested in seeing what it looked like at the peak of it's modded days, just click on my profile on the picture album.

Don't worry Doug, you have an OEM Nismo Aero kit, which is now discontinued. I didn't cheap out on any of the parts/service for this car. It was in good hands, which I am sure you know.

And to the guy who said the PO probably beat the sh*t out of the car then sold it.... false. The car was babied beyond belief. It's a car, parts fail and stuff like this happens.

Get the issue sorted out and you'll be good to go for the summer months. Keep taking care of it and keep it clean!

BTW, here is my replacement from the g35
