Can I use any Subwoofer/Amp combo on stock system?

I read a post on the site that explained how a Line Out Converter could be used to bypass the stock sub while still allowing the cars speakers to use the stock amp. My question is if I would be able to add any pair of subs and a powerful amp to the LOC and still get a nice sound from the subs.

yes u can becareful with that out line converter when the shop did my installztion they mixed up the wires and did a short with air bag wires and a week later all air bags sensors were going crazy thank god was still under warrenty and dealer replaced damaged wires and sensors...
