Where is the in-cabin microfilter?? I want to check it to see if it is dirty....

Behind glove box. Search as there are diy videos. Get the 999m1-vs251 carbon filter. My local dealer sold it to me for $30. For some reason it is not listed for the g35, but is the exact same size and fits fx35/45 as well. There are other carbon filters for the g, but for some reason they are $60+.

it is behind the glove box. (not the dvd tray) you have to take off the glove in order to reach the cabin filter. thers some DIY on youtube by that G bythebay.

two 10mm bolts on the bottom i believe. then it should completely come off.

Is the JDM carbon filter worth the extra money? What does it do?

its oem, and it has carbon filtering and more expensive. nissan has two filters i think, the carbon one, and the normal fabric one. i would get whatever cheapest since you NEED to replace these every 6 months or so.

when you take your cabin filter out, you will see hella leaves, dirty black sh*t, even a chance of mouse homes! i cant imagine whats in there if you have an 03.

It doesn't take that long but I think if you remove the black plastic panels inside the passenger side engine bay, you can see it. Inbetween the windshield and the battery cover. Well actually it's part of the battery cover assembly. I might be wrong, it's been awhile

i forgot to mention something. make sure you take note of which way the air flow goes, there are arrows on the cabin filter. make sure you do this correctly and good luck!

Does anyone know if there is a hepa filter since I have bad allergies?

I doubt the hepa filter would do a lot of good, what with doors getting opened and such all the time.

Perhaps you can make one yourself out of an old filter and one designed for larger vacuums?

It's a very easy process to get to it, I loaded this DIY on my laptop and had it in the passenger seat.


I had some leaves in mine, and swapped it out with the baking soda one in the Amazon link.

FYI, removing the small plastic panels next to the door was tough. You have to tug at them a decent amount... to the point where i almost thought I was going to break it...

You mean just the drivers door?

The other three never get used. Waste of a 4 door sedan lol
