lol stop the car.

maintenance option is to tell you to either change your oil, or oil filter. it is user defined. (meaning you reset it and tell it when to display the maintenance flag after so many miles.)

I have a feeling the car is stopped when he checks it. I mean who really checks their oil change schedule on the highway? And if he is...I hope he is not behind me

Well here a kicker. Today, while on the highway, I was able to get into my maintainence screen. Wasn't greyed out at all. I dont have anything bypassed either and my car won't let me plug in addresses while moving, but I can get into maintainence fine. Can even reset it too

I do have an 06... Which has a different nav interface then 03-05 so that might be why. I have more than three options on that screen in which the op describes
