Sooooo, driving to work about 2 weeks ago....flattruck + loosestrap + rolling box = $700.00 in repair to a bumper ...anyway the insurance repair shop said that they could get me one,for $1300 (insert swift kick here)...poly and authentic, I looked in his cpu in disbelief, and there is stated, "in stock, ready to order" soooooo the mod bug bites.....should I or should I not....would you???

If its from Infiniti/Nissan then yes its gonna be super expensive but not sure if its actually 1300, if you buy one yourself from a vendor online its much cheaper and usually it'll fit pretty good also but it depends on your insurance company and if they'd allow you to buy the parts yourself. Maybe they can just cut you out a check and you go and buy the parts and get it all fixed and even have some extra money lying around for some new goodies

 

Seems a bit steep IMO.

 

But aren't the ones from the vendors here all fiber...or do some offer it in poly??? I have been searching but, I havent found a good one where there aren't fit issues. I would need poly cuz of the streets sround here. He won't offer it to be sold with out them painting it and doing the install...lame!!

 

IIRC isnt part of the nismo bumpers high price tag due to that it comes painted from the factory?

 

I don't quite understand... what would the price differance be on the total bottom line? IOW, how much "extra" is the areo bumper going to cost you?

If you're only gonnaa be out $600 for an authentic Nismo I don't see that you really have a decision.
