Rp is more suited for racing engines that are torn down frequently. It's not really suited for normal passenger cars. It's a different compound In which is is basically formulated from metal dust. (molybdenum disulfide). Stick to normal oils like castrol or mobil or amsoil.
As for fuel...91 is recommended for optimum performance and economy. You can run less, but the car will use a knock sensor to pull back timing and as a result, power and fuel economy might suffer. You can do it, but for best performance use 91. Since you have a coupe...I'm pretty sure 91 is required anyway.
As for your poor fuel economy. Did you make any changes to the car? How is your driving style? What rpm do you shift at?

Coupes and Sedans have the same motor yo.
( for arguments sake don't give me the 260hp ho ha ha)
Same Engine
03-04 Coupes AT/MT, 03-06 Sedans AT,03-04 Sedan MT
Same Engine Revup
05-06 Sedans and Coupes MT.
The Revups' List Premium Required
The Non-Revups list Premium Recommended
The car was tuned with Premium and gets best MPG with Premium, If you run lower Octane number even in a Non-revup you might experience knock and will also receive poorer MPG.
Btw to reset the ECU OP, just unhook the negative terminal on the battery hit the brake 3 times to discharge and plug it back in some people like to leave it unplugged over night. Your Radio Presets and Trip counter on the dash will be rest.
Also do you know if your car has a spacer or any mods?

Before Friday...my gas mileage was about 21 mpg...which is what it should be. That is 400 miles divided by a 19 gallon tank. I have checked several websites and even the owners manual and still can not figure out how big exactly the gas tank is. I know that it holds at least 18 gallons. Now the mileage is probably 15 mpg. This is still on the highway folks. I don't do a whole lot of stop and go driving.
But the fuel guzzling is mostly from your driving style. G35's are not gas efficient cars. Got you pay to play bro.

^ i havent heard of this either..
btw OP.. have u checked your tire pressure? this could be something.
when i had my sedan stock i would get 350+ to the tank running streets/freeway, ever since i put coupe 18s on my car i get 250+
today i got the most and im not sure why since i do have a heavy foot, i got 290! before the light came on.
but thats nothing yo, my 4cyl nissan sentra SER which is a 2.5 engine got 200 to the tank with 10 gallons.... thats bad too...

My 06 MT Sedan says right on the gas door that I can use other grades of fuel besides premium. It does however state that for best performance, premium is preferred.
Also, the owners manual has some very low mph shift points for best fuel economy. Basically, stay below 2,000 rpm.
For the gas mileage test, do as someone else suggested:
start with about 1/4 tank
fill all the way. DO NOT TOP OFF. Stop pumping once the pump stops.
reset your trip odometer.
drive.
once at about a quarter tank, fill up again. DO NOT TOP OFF. Stop pumping once the pump stops.
divide the mileage on your odometer by the number of gallons you added (found on your receipt). Voila! Accurate MPG.
Tank capacity doesn't mean poop, and as such really shouldn't be discussed here. It is far less accurate than MPG. Also, keep in mind that gas will have different volumes at different temps, so a tank may be 20 gallons in Minnesota and only 15 gallons in Dallas. It's all about the mileage you're getting per gallon.

If you drive "normal", meaning not too hard on the pedal and shifts below 2500, you should be getting anywhere from 18-19 mpg. At least that's what I get from 50/50 on streets/highway.
The gas gauge isn't incredibly accurate. So if you're getting 140-170 miles by the time it hits the half mark, I wouldn't be worried about anything being wrong.
And you won't fill up to 20 gallons unless you are running on fumes. Closest I ever got was 19.1 gallons and that was after seeing needle under the last line for over 30 miles.
