Slip and vdc light

So my SLIP light has been going off and on for awhile now. When I took it for an oil change at the Infiniti in Elk Grove, they told me it was because my brake fluid was too low. Well my brake fluid is not low, its actually full.

Then after they changed my oil he told me my pads and rotors needed to be replaced and thats why the SLIP, VDC OFF, and Brake (!) lights are all on. So he told me he would replace my brakes and rotors for the price of an arm and a leg. Well tonight after work I will be changing my front pads because those are the only pieces that need to be changed. My rotors are like brand new front and back and my back pads have a ton of meat left on them.

I just want to know if anyone else is experiencing or had the same problem I am experiencing. If I change the brake pads, will the sensor leave me alone and let my VDC come back on and all the warning lights go away. I hope its just that the pads need changing, but I remember when it got rainy in November I was doing some doughnuts in the rain and slush and the SLIP and VDC lights came on and stayed on.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Have you popped off a battery cable?

Happened to me multiple times in the snow last winter. Just reset the ECU and went on my way.

Welp I guess my hunch was right, my pads were getting a little low and the sensor recognized it I guess. Pads cost me 20 bucks and an hour of time to put on. Piece of cake. SLIP, VDC, and Brake (!) light all went off as soon as the new brakes were on.

Didn't think changing the pads were going to be that fast. Thanks to those with suggestions!
