the floor board looks like a great spot but the pinch weld where there is a little cut is where you should of lifted it. its on all cars and its designed to be lifted there, they made it stronger some how. I never did this myself because i looked at the manuals on my older cars before because i'm a geek like that. I've seen/heard of a lot of people doing it.

Lesson learned i guess.. Pulling up the carpet isn't 100% hard.

all that SHOULD be needed from what i see would be the lower cushion.. the whole thing which pulls up. the side plastic trim. and then lift the carpet up, the black part, there is a foam cusion under there that you most likely will be able to pull back, when i say pull back i mean towards the front of the car. Take some ply wood and hammer away.

Similar situation happened to me with my last car. My Acura was at the dealership getting it's third tranny, couple punks drove into the lot, jacked my car up at the floor boards, took my rims and left my car on milk crates. Cops caught them in the act on another car in the lot. One took off on foot the other was cornered.

Ohh, and the dealership never told me about it. I found out cause I was summoned to court to testify against these kids.

Needless to say, I had their TL loaner for a while...lol

Yeah when I was having my tires rotated the guy forgot to rotate the right side after he took the car down and he just jacked up my car with a pump lift. Well lets just say after about 3-4 pumps the car dropped, hard, and we look and he was no where near my jack points on my car.

I bet you treated that loaner car really nice
