In the back of my car the carpet is bubbling or peeling up or something looks super deformed right in front of the back seat? anyone had this issue or know what to do. Ill go try to get some good pics of this.. Its really bad..

Not sure if its from the extreme heat or what? Its by the corner of the seat on the passenger side

 

Check under your car. Have you had it lifted up recently for service or anything? I had this on my drivers side floor and upon further inspection, found that the floor had been pushed up. 10 mins with a hammer and the floor and seat pulled up, i had it all pounded back down to normal.

 

BINGO! I jacked up my car to paint my wheels! thats what it is. So how do i fix this issue? just take a hammer and hammer out the floor.

 

I've jacked up my car many times and had no similar issue. I would be more worried if my carpet was like that just because of jacking up the car. Did you use the correct jack points?

OP your going to have to peel back the carpet, remove the foam piece under neath and pound down the actual metal.

where are the correct jack points? I just do whatever feels sturdy and if it doesnt cave in I go with it.. apparently it caved in lol

Yea kinda, just peel it.

 

and how do you put it back?

 

The whole carpet is attached on the sides you need to remove all the rubber and plastic trim on the door, also you need to remove the back seat,( just look right in front of the left and right passenger there is a tab you just pull it out and pull up on the seat) Then you should have access to that side.

Well I guess right there where the carpet is coming up lol.

 

Make sure from now on that you jack it up on the jack points (its right under the door, looks like wavy steel with some divots in it.)

 

he did it at the floor board... he didn't want to go lift at the pinch weld because it was just a thin line, instead he went for the nice flat spot about 6 inchs further in...


if you have to lift the rear.... MOST times if you can just lift the rear DIFF up...
