should i replace my rear brakes only.. or all
i need to replace my brakes and was just wondering if i should replace my rears since they have 3mm left, my fronts have 7mm which doesnt seem like much either..
ima have grant do it for me and was told that i dont need to resurface my rotors if i feel they are still good and not warped. i feel them fine just figure i let ya know so you guys can give me your advice if i should just stick new pads in or have them resurfaced.
ima be putting on some akebonos since i have heard great reviews on them, biggest bang for the buck.
thanks !

I would say it depends on how soon you plan to get the BBK. I am saving for it right now also. And Grant will be doing my install haha. Why waste money on brakes now if you are going to replace them though? How soon do you plan to get the Akebonos? How much longer can yours make it?

oop my fault lol. I would replace all 4 corners at the same time then. Unless money is really an issue, then do what is top priority.

I would have them turned the least amount possible. That will provide a clean surface for the new pads to adhere to. Make sure you bed in the new pads as well.
My opinion - only turn the rotors when they need it. You can't turn them an unlimited number of times and if you're not having any issues, then don't turn them.
No need to do all 4 pads at once. Change the ones that are worn in pairs.
Minimum thickness on pads is 2mm all around. You've got thousands of miles left on your front pads so I would not change them at 7mm, at least not for wear. If you want to swap them all out for ceramics for less dusting, then you can certainly do that.
I've got the Akebono ProACT pads and I like them - no dusting, but they definitely do not have the stopping power of the OEMs.
The rear pads wear relatively quickly on this car - the fronts last quite a long time. You'd have those fronts for awhile if you left them on. YMMV, of course.
