Just curious if anyone knows if its possible to swap q45 front seats into a g35 sedan...anyone tried it...any wireing issues??
I have an 03 G35 sedan and the seats are pretty much done, i came across a 2002 q45 with a front and rear impact...they are close int age wanted to know if i should even try the seat swat....also what about the steering wheel is that swapable too??? all inputs welcome.

Steering wheel I would say most definitely not.

Seats on the other hand will probably bolt up (most infinitis will) but I really don't think that the wiring will be anywhere close to the same. It's different between coupe and sedan (needs a small splice) so I would think the higher luxury car would have more issues. Then you run into the issue of seat airbags and you'll probably get an airbag light....

Keep an eye out for Coupe seats, they're much comfier anyways.

 

Yeah, getting them to fit is probably doable... the only problem you might run into is they could be too wide, not sure, just may want to double check.
The wiring will be tricky, but you can look up what all the wires do in the FSMs

 

Question is why? I'm sure the Q seats are setup for luxo butts so there's less support.

 

^+1 I don't really see much point in Q seats....... now M seats on the other hand, if you can get them in the right color...



(Yes, it's from a fuga, but that was the first thing I found... M has the same color)

 

thanks for all the iput, reason why i asked is because i found a wrecked q45 in my area, and wanted to kmnow if i could swap before asking them if they are willing to part out.....does anyone know if a 94 300zx 8 way power seat will swap...? dude nearby is selling a mint tan one that looks alot like the coup seat...thanks

 

^Probably, but you'll have to modify the wiring.
