the light next the clock

hi guys, i have a 2003 g35 sedan. Next to the clock, there is a light looking thing. does anyone know what that thing is for? i broke the circuit board what i try to take the clock out. anyone know where i can find one?(hate it when i try to fix one thing and break something else.

yeah. just a dot. and kinda like the security light. on the right side of the clock the small little light. what is it?

Yeah man, that's just the security LED... doesn't really matter if it's plugged in.

"just the security LED" what happen if it's unplug? does it make any different? where can i get one?

If the security light is staying on, it means the car security system doesn't recognize your key. G's use mico-chipped keys and the car has to be programmed to recognize the key. If you buy a new key you need to re-program the car. After a certain number of starts (can't remember if its one or more) the car should stop starting completely as a security feature.
