Quiet Muffler

So, my stock muffler on my 03 has completely rusted off. I need to find a replacement for it. Dealer is crazy asking $650, best deal online new is $275, haven't found a used one for an 03-04. I don't want anything such as stillen, hks, etc. aftermarket exhaust that would add noise.

I was thinking of something by magnaflow, dynomax, vibrant or thrush. Something that's a muffler that I could just add a set of tips to or a muffler w/tips if cheaper.

Any suggestions? What size muffler would I need?

You should just look for a stock axleback in the marketplace. Then you can bolt it up yourself instead of paying someone else to do it. Mine's coming off this weekend, but it's an 05.

The HKS axleback doesn't add that much noise btw.

You would think it would be common with everyone swapping exhausts.

Unfortunately my oem muffler is on my car...so I can't sell you mine. I do like it quiet though

I'd sell you mine, and it'll bolt right up, but I'm in FL.

I wouldn't mind shipping it, but it's kinda heavy, so IDK how much that will cost, and I'll need time to get an aftermarket one (it's on the car now)

Honestly, I wouldn't get either one. These would require work and fabrication and there's no guarantee they'll be quiet.

I'd get an OEM or HKS since they both bolt up easily and don't add a bunch of unwanted sound.

If you don't have one by this weekend, I'll give you a PM [if mine comes off easily].

An 05 is larger than yours and all you would need is a bracket to make it fit. If someonne is seling their 05 muffler ask if they will include the hanger bracket and it will be quieter then stock.
