Advice

Hello all,

I just recently purchased a 2004 G35 sedan and am very pleased with it, as it is a sizable upgrade from my 94 accord.
Anyways now that i have a car worth putting a little bit of money into i was thinking of doing the following to start,

STILLEN Z-tube with a hi flow intake, Motordyne Basic plenum spacer, and a K&N air filter.

Dont be afraid to say the upgrades wouldnt be helpful or go well together, if i knew for sure i wouldnt be asking for advice from people who know what they are doing.

So, are these good starting points/ good products.
What can i expect from them besides a deeper noise and slight Hp gain.
And what are the risks with these upgrades.

Thanks in advance!

Do the Z-tube with JWT pop charger, Motordyne plenum spacer and a Unorthodox underdrive pulley I think you'll be happy

Congrats on the new ride. Of the mods you listed the most noticeable gains will come from the MD spacer. It really is a must have mod for our cars IMO.

I would definitely go with the Stillen over the JWT Pop Charger, its enclosed design blocks heat better than the Pop Charger. I've owned both in the past, can't say I noticed a difference in performance. Stillen sounds better IMO it really roars above 4K.

Are you just looking into performance upgrades or other areas as well (suspension, exterior, etc.)?

G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
I'd do sway bars right after the spacer and intake. +1 on not getting the pop charger. The Stillen intake is a much better choice.

The sway bars will really change the way your car handles in a good way.

I'm just a little ahead of you with upgrades to my '04. Z tube, intake, plenum spacer were all fun to install and I noticed an improvement from each one. Hotchkis swaybars are on the way and next will be high flow cats. After that I think I'm stumped. I've been thinking about 19" wheels but thats lots of cash. Maybe new springs for a little lower ride.

thanks all for the posts.

But to abswer candlestickpark, i was mostly looking into modifications that i can make at my own home and that is why i stuck to the basic ones which i listed, but i am certainly not against any other modifications whether it be visual, or performance.

all recommendations are welcome.

HR Y-Pipe ($100 ish) since your doing some intake mods. Im very happy with mine.

Sways are very affordable and very effective but Id also pop in some new endlinks. Yours are probably near the end of its life.

I love how the lower price is crossed out and a higher price is listed right under it on Stillen's site.

I just had some new endlinks put on free of charge from the dealer I bought the car through so I should be okay there. But I was also looking into polishing the plenum and I wondered if anybody knew of the best way to do that?
Also, I have been looking unto an aftermarket stereo system and was curious what the best way to go about that was.
Any recommendation on that?
