Well this car is truely something special, from the brisk air outside to cranking the engine and hearing the exhaust roar at the startup, i knew it was time for me to regain confidence in this cars raw power and performance.... Man, its so ironic how whenever i talk about my car being slow, i take it out that night (Tonight) and it wfeels like it grew a turbo charger underneatht he hood. Me and my friends decided to go exploring tonight, so i took it on some back roads pretty far away from me, where its very windey and hilly (Cold spring harbor and snake hill rd) for those in NY, anyway it was so fun tonight, my cars power and pull amazed me even with 3 people int he car including myself, my friend times my car 0-60 with all of us int he car, and it was mid 5's, man the cold air and everythign felt so right about the car tonight that i honestly cant even imagine a turbo in this car, its that quick already!! Then i ran into a A6 2.7t Sline that was very quick, i pulled on him hard eveyrtime but he hung there with me, he def. had exhaust, chip, intake and alot done to it, and he was also a DIKC, callin us pussie$ and shi! lol, i got outta the car and he took off. It was fun whippin his *** though!! Gnight guys, just thought id share, this car continues to make me smile =) I cant even imagine my car with hotchkis sway bars, the handling is AMAZING already, wow def. the next thing going on my car =))))

I had little fun myself today. I pulled up to a stoplight and this Acura TL pulled up to the right of me, the lane he was in, merged into my lane on the other side of the light, so he figured he was going to cut me off when the light turned green... I was like, Don't think so.... So the light turned green and I totaly slammed the door on him. He had to pull in behind me, Luv putting those TL's in there place

Glad you like your car again, Martin. I loved the crap out of my auto. I really hated trading it in. To be honest, the manual is a lot of work in Chicago, and Japan couldn't have made enough corollas to sit in the left lane as much as they do. Yours sounds sh*t-fast. It's been in the 70's in Chicago lately, so I still haven't gotten to see what a 50 degree day will do to this car.

built2shred, I hope you really pissed them off. I'm tired of those people in TLs thinking they have an F1 racer. It's a dressed up Accord. One of my better friends (at least beforehand) has TL and he was acting like my car was a piece of crap. Of course, then I sent him articles where the G outdoes the BMW and the TL is an also-ran. He finally shut up. He's a gadget fetishist though - he actually has the Bluetooth hooked up to his cellphone, so good for him. Of course before he can't find the local Costco without the navi. To boot, his "I don't want to admit she's my" girlfriend just bought a loaded Maxima. He he.

Nice write up, I told you M, enjoy that car. Chicago has been pretty mild for this time of year, I'm looking forward too a nice crisp early Sunday morning where I can take it from the North Burbs too the city and back again, hassle free & light traffic..

 

Last winter the temps in Houston dropped into the 50s.
I know what you mean about the car running great on a cold
day. It feels like it has around 20 more HP. The coldest its
been so far is 85 or so....

Actually I know what you mean.
Last night I drove around in the rain and home. It rained all day for those of you not in Houston.

I can tell you that I haven't felt more safe in a car in the rain than in my G.... I felt very confident in rain and the car didn't have any issues at all.

Loving this car more and more everyday.

Dutchess county has some great roads to speed around on, provided there's no cops and no deer in the road. The weather's perfect here in Poughkeepsie.

Yea it was like 50 flat last night and so niceee out!! I loved my auto last night, quick downshifting and i know my cars sweetspot, going a few ticks into redline every gear and upshifting puts the car right in gear with absolutely NO LAG and you hear the intake or something pushing out or sucking in air, its crazy... Its a weird noise, im not sure what the hell it is but sounds like a corvette when he switches, a little backfire or something, ahh forget it, i totally pictured it wrong for you guys, its SICK just ut it that way =) Well hopefull tonight will be the same, its cool out everyday now, so i think this is how it will be for the next month or 2 before winter hits, but i still want a manual but i felt the auto was so much quicker on downshifting and rev matching on sharp or crazy turns and hills, but thats mostly because im not a great manual driver yet!! Well i cant wait to get stock wheels back on and bring it to a track, i hope these #'s dont dissapoint me
