Now that I installed the 5/16 Spacer....
Now that I installed the 5/16" spacer should I remove the resonator on my exhaust to kinda even things out/get full performance?
My car is a 2005 G35 5AT sedan and right now I have a cold air intake and an axel back exhaust. I would love to install a coupe mid but the guy that installed my muffler chopped the part you bolt the muffler on and just welded it so I figured Ill just delete the resonator if its holding back that much performance. The muffler has removable silencers so sound isnt a big deal.
I do not plan on getting test pipes or HFCs the only thing I plan on doing is getting a Y pipe but that wont be for a bit. Right now Im just looking to get the best performance out of the spacer without having to get a tune.
Thanks,
TruNick

Your 05 resonator flows pretty well, so I wouldn't necessarily delete it, especially if you have a hi-flow muffler. You may find a straight pipe instead of a resonator to be a bit obnoxious. The y-pipe would be a better addition, IMO.
With the CAI, spacer and muffler, you might get a little benefit from an ECU reset so that it learns the new setup and your driving style. Search it up if you're not sure how to do the reset.
