hey! i cant get my trunk to open on my 03 sedan. It only works when i pull the emergency things from reaching through to seats. I was just wondering if any of you know what the problem is to save me troubleshooting! is this a common problem? and i did try the switch in the glove box and that didnt help either. thanks alot.

 

I just had this to me happen to my 03 coupe. It was the wiring going to the trunk lid. Some of the wires broke, so I had to just crimp them back together. If you do a search on here, it explains it better.

 

By the passenger side hinge.
Pull back the rubber coating of the wiring harness and you'll probably find some frayed wires.

Check the valet override switch in the glovebox. The truck release is disabled with this switch.

Well i figured out the problem and im not too happy! I got no reverse lights either! . It looks as if its been repaired before once or twice. just one more project I guess!

Had to learn how to solder over the weekend and i fixed the trunk and lights. works great!

 

Going to inspect this tomorrow, my trunk won't open today all of a sudden!

 

my trunk didnt want to open but my issue was much more basic then that, my remote batteries were dead lol
