I didn't have any issues with the terminal posts being misaligned. Everything fit exactly like the original battery I removed from my car.
This is the battery I put in (thanks bigc for the heads up on this): http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_oh_product

I have a Yellow Top in my 04 G35x, got it a few months ago... the ONLY thing I had to do was take the top cover that it comes with and snap it on to the bottom so it's the same height as the OEM battery... it's an extender for installation, but it serves as a terminal protector for shipping and transporting from the factory.
No problems what so ever!?! This is becoming a "Snopes Urban Myth"... just give them the year, make and model of your car.. and that's it! Got mine at Auto Zone.. installed myself because if the installation involves removing trim.. they can't touch it because of liability.
Great battery, cranks the engine like a *****!!

Red top and yellow top group 35's are the same size. one just has more cca. use the yellow top if you'll be playing music or running things with the vehicle off for long periods of time, otherwise red top is fine...or whatever is cheaper, won't really make too much of a difference.
