Does anyone know if a yellow top Optima Battery work in the G Sedan?

No...the Yellow Top posts are different from those on the Red Top. Only way that will fit is if you change out and lengthen the -/+ wires.

We've gone over this before.

I have a Yellow Top in my 04 G35x, got it a few months ago... the ONLY thing I had to do was take the top cover that it comes with and snap it on to the bottom so it's the same height as the OEM battery... it's an extender for installation, but it serves as a terminal protector for shipping and transporting from the factory.

No problems what so ever!?! This is becoming a "Snopes Urban Myth"... just give them the year, make and model of your car.. and that's it! Got mine at Auto Zone.. installed myself because if the installation involves removing trim.. they can't touch it because of liability.

Great battery, cranks the engine like a *****!!

Optima Yellow top D35. The guy at Auto Zone said it should be a direct fit. I will let you know because they will be installing it tomorrow.

It is a direct fit, that is the exact one I have. I thought you had gotten a different one because you mentioned reverse terminals and someone else noted a different part number for that one (which didn't make sense to me, your post confirms it).

This.

Red top and yellow top group 35's are the same size. one just has more cca. use the yellow top if you'll be playing music or running things with the vehicle off for long periods of time, otherwise red top is fine...or whatever is cheaper, won't really make too much of a difference.
