I had a 2006 G35 for 4 years and hadn't noticed that the driver and passenger seats were of different design. It was on lease and went back.

Missing it, here I am buying another 2006 G35 sedan. During purchase I noticed the two front seats were of different design. I thought dealer must have changed them or something, then he showed me a few more exact same car with different seats in front.

I came home and searched for pictures, and what do you know, they are of different design. e.g. look here (Notice the driver seat has a middle leather patch whereas passenger seat is plain)

Question is why?

I believe Infiniti designed the driver's seat with an emphasis on better fit for the driver. I wish they would have made them more like the coupe seats with a tighter fit and more sporty characteristics.

 

BTW the picture you posted are coupe seats, not sedans.

and the passenger side is designed for a woman or a gay man..

Do they have non-power leather coupe seats? I have an 04 with cloth and would like to upgrade to coupe seats but don't want to deal with wiring them. (sorry to thread jack but still kinda on topic lol)

 

^04 with cloth... u musta gotten an aftermarket... they all come leather standard from factory.

Yea, but the thing is after they stopped making the doggy door they stopped having cloth seats. I don't have a doggy door but I have cloth seats. I honestly think the trunk was replaced with a non doggy door one because both my 3rd brake light and my 3rd brake light on my spoiler light up when only one is supposed to. I still can't figure out how it's and '04 with cloth. Oh well. I guess I'll be rare lol.

True. I really don't care too much about my interior seeing as it came with a full nismo aero kit when I bought it and it's twilight blue which I don't see too often. If only it was 6spd
