Don't know how many of you guys have heard of this but it is not always the head unit or circuit board. On the 03-04 models there an electrical portion of the ignition switch that wears out. Sometimes you can wiggle the key when the radio shuts off and the radio will cut back on. The electrical portion of the ignition switch is replaceable on the 03 models. You will have to replace the whole ignition switch on 04 models.

 

Hmm Ill try that too, yesterday it was giving me fits, It was a nice day out but the ac insisted to come on. I have an extended warranty will this be covered?

 

this would only be covered if your extended warranty covers that part. When you said the dash lights were going out at times ...that is what tells me that an ignition switch issue may be present. I am a technician for infiniti and I have replaced a bunch of these electrical portion of the ignition switch. When you wiggle your key back and forth it probably feels like it has alot of slack in it. If the dealer can't warranty it,its easy to change. There is one connector on the back and one screw holds it on. Hope this helps you buddy.

 

The gauge cluster stays on and the top info bar stays on the radio and ac button lights go off.

 

Where can I find the steering wheel and Dual climate control controls for this?

Also, cna anyone suggest a good DD unit? Im price shopping right now.
