Update and rec (headlight help for daughter)

Well, I guess it was the ballasts after all (xenon lights flickering, see previous post). After a $1,200+ quote, I found the replacements at "Member id oem-hidparts" on eBay. They also sell on Amazon under Philips HID Store, I think. They are advertised as new OEM and certainly looked that way. For $177 and change, shipped, they sent two ballasts and two ignitors. Rolled right in and both Xenons fired right up. Heading to the game tomorrow and delivering car back to her. Savings paid for (almost) one of my season tickets. Thanks for all the help here and I hope this might help someone else along the way.

Good, easy fix. Next time I suggest DDM tuning; a pair of hid ballasts, igniters and bulbs for around $50. http://www.ddmtuning.com/products/101/
