Dipstick

How many quarts show up on it? Like if oil level only gets half way on it, you are missing 1 quart? Half a quart?

For me...

Full 5 quarts puts me at the top of the crosshatch.

4 quarts is at the bottom of the crosshatch.

Of course....all estimated

usually the full checkered area is one quart and seems to be on my g.

What filter do you use? Next time I need to check before turning the car on.

I know the filter holds about .3 quarts of oil in it, but mine sits a bit above half full. I think I might buy a single quart and just add so that it hits the H line.
