New guy...not an owner just a fan.

whats up guys ...the names vito and im from Boston.

i have never been a fan of imports but LOVE the G35 coupes. theres something about them that im really attracted to.

im 18 years old and ever since i was a little kid i have loved muscle cars. i have owned 2 Dodge Chargers since i have had my license. right now i have a Black SRT8 charger.

i joined this because i am lookin to buy a g35(so i dont have to drive the SRT everyday) and since i litterally have 0 knowledge on them i thought there would be some gurus on here and some good threads that i could read up on to see what im dealing with.

heres a few pics of my whip

Here are also a few pics of my previous charger....it was a 3.5L v6

if i do end up buying a G35 im really into MODDING and im lookin to be "hella flush" so im going to need some help with that

We have one redsox fan thats plenty enough for the site.

J/K.....

theres plenty of threads on the pros and cons of this vehicle. Just be ready to throw some hard cash at the g35 to go fast. If your in it for the look a quick drop and some tint with the rims will work wonders. I know theres a few sedans from your area that are pretty hooked up in terms of paint and such. Anyways welcome to the site.

There is a black Srt-8 charger I pass every day on my way to work...next time I'll have tom check the plate and see if it's you.

I lurked here fpr about 3 years before I bought my g35x. Was always a friendly forum....even with my username

One thing you will notice is the handling difference. The chargers no offense feel like your driving a boat. We had one as a rental when my wife had her accident.

the car is "larger" then the G35 and large in general but im 99.9% sure that the charger ur rented was a SE 2.7 L or 3.5 L .....those things feel like boats but the SRT is very hooked up when it comes to suspension...and brakes. i take exits at 60-70 like a walk in the park

Thank for the welcome from the wrest of you guys.

Yeah, you can't compare the 3.5s to the rt or srt-8s. I get charger 3.5s all the time as rentals when I travel for business (beats a camry) They blow. Same goes for base model challengers, mustangs and camaros. They seem to favor comfort over performance.

You mention you love coupes yet post in the sedan section..

If there wasn't a a reason beyond "oops" let me know and I'll move it over.

Chargers are known for their straight line performance vice handling. I'm a fan, but it is a heavy car that needs suspension work to perform well and "feel" nimble and agile.

I've driven the SRT-8 and it was a hoot - great car, especially for the money you can get them for these days.

Welcome to the forum.

yeah most base model american cars arent the best. especially when it comes to muscle car class...like you said the mustangs, camros etc etc are nothing but looks and cant even get the "muscle car " point across. when it comes to buying an american muscle car these days. the only ones left "technically" are the big boys...like GT500's SRT-8s and SS' other then that. you simply have another mustang like 25% of the world has haha

i dont know where all you dudes are from but around here i can safely say i see Gen 3,4 mustangs 10 times a day
