HP to the Wheel?

I am wandering besides putting my car on a Dyno, does anyone know how much HP to the rear wheels my 06 6mt coupe has, I know it has 298 hp at 6400 rpm and the engine output is 260ft lbs of torque at 4800rpm According to Cars.com research. but is that 260ft lbs of torque going to the rear wheels. I have a K&N high flow air filter in the stock air intake box with no other upgrades. Thanks

The g35 will do about 225 - 230 hp to the wheel, you're on the 2006 6mt which means you have the Rev-Up VQ35DE. That means your engine does 298 hp at the crank which translates to about 230 to the wheels. Only MT were given revup engines, AT is 280 to the crank, so u can assume its 225 hp at the wheels. The K&N panel filter won't really give you more that 1-2 hp if any.

Oh ok thanks for the info, I had a cold air intake but it seamed like the car just made a bunch of noise with little power, I did like the sound though, it was a cheap ebay kit and I really didn't want to do any damage to the engine as I see other people are having OC issues and I have almost 60k with no issues and I bought it with 24k , It does feel like I got power back with the panel filter and I noticed the gas millage got better also, maybe the ebay kit was causing some kind of restriction to the air flow.

Not all CAIs are the same. The stock setup is not that bad really. Just get a z tube to ditch all the baffles that quiet the airflow and a k&n panel filter and call it a day.

On the budget side, get the z-tube with the panel filter. If you're looking for a little better flow, you can get the Stillen intake with the z-tube, cone filter and velocity stack for $250, and some people have ran piping into the bumper vent to improve air flow to the box.

I have the full Stillen Intake. I bought my car with just the filter, and then I bought the Stillen Z-tube at the same time as my Kinetix HFC's. I also have a dual Magnaflow cat back (also came on the the car when I bought it). I dyno'd mine before the HFC's and intake tube and I was putting down 250 at the wheels.

I love the venturi ring in the filter. Sounds awesome and I think it adds power, although I've never had the stock airbox so I really don't know. I had one guy ask me if I was turbo'd because the venturi ring sorta sounds like turbo spool.

Yes they do, a friend of mine has a 95 civic si with the b16z6 and has a short ram with the velocity stack (venturi ring), custom exhaust and i thought he was turbo'd also. Hes pulling high 15's right now, it was his only two days to the 1/4 track.
