He said I can have both together for $180

The strut bar won't really do anything..its just for looks. If its worth just the looks then buy it. I also don't see the point in a grounding kit...there's no proof it really does anything and most people I've talked to say they're a waste of money. Call Paladin, they'll pretty much tell you the same.

The strut bar will give you a little more stiffness when you go into turns and such, but yeah it's mostly for looks.

And sxexcx's will quicken up the shifts and faster response for those with the 5AT. I'd recommend his over all others.

Canadian...have you talked to as many grounding kit haters as I have supporters?

Apexi makes a good product but it is universal kit which makes the install really sloppy. I'm not sure the "active" system is needed either. My kit is tailored specifically for the VQ35 so it is efficient and fits like a glove.

PM me and I will make you a great deal on a new kit.

just to add...

Personally, I would go with my kit and the GT Spec strut bar. You can pick up the bar for about $150 and I'll give you a good deal on the kit so the price difference wont be that bad.

I've talked to people who's opinion I would value over 99% of this forum.

I've been in a couple cars with one, and didn't notice a difference. I'd rather save my money and do a VB upgrade as that is 100 times more noticeable.

in the end its still a debate. Unproven with actual STATS. But then again it pretty hard to measure it. A far-fetched example would be ghost, you cant prove they are real or aren't real. The ones that believe it, are without a doubt believers and the ones that don't will never. Grounding kits was great for older cars with ground issues. Or cars with audio systems, this was commonly known as the BIG 3, battery, starter and alternator ground. But these days its i dont think they make as big of an impact. Like intakes back then really gave 5hp and now... some designs do and some dont.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing. I dont have a kit, if i found a kit for cheap i'll consider it. But that apexi ground kit is no better then what SXEXC sells. Its just better packaged with a more known/popular name. Between those 2 kits, i rather get SXEXC, but this is IF i needed one.

^I have the NRG STB. It flexes pretty easily. The GT Spec bar is thicker and doesn't flex as much. From what I've heard from two people who have had both is that GT Spec is a more effective STB.

You can see that the GT Spec looks "beefier". I'll eventually switch mine out for a GT Spec.

NRG

GT Spec

Those stbs don't look very effective. Looks like they are bowed and any load across would just cause then bar to flex in the direction of the bend. Kinda defeats the purpose of they bar. They look good though.

As for grounding kits....I'm on the fence. I think they work, but think you only need one big ground for engine and trans each

The GTSpec is much beefier and fits super tight. I had the NRG but switched because of how flimsy it was and how loose the fitment was.
