Looking at a 03 sedan with higher mileage
My brother works for Nissan and he says that a majority of the oil consumption problems he sees are due to pre-detonation because of the 87 octane gas some put in their cars when premium fuel is recommended. Essentially, youre slowly deteriorating the piston rings, cats and o2 sensors.
i think this thread is about purchasing a car lol not the type of gas lol
but i was putting regular for like two tanks then put prem. and felt the difference
once u go prem. u never go back =D lol

How about checking the car out well first. A well maintained 100k mile vehicle is much better than an unmaintained 100k mile vehicle.
I've looked at 100k mile cars for friends and family and have frequently seen dirty coolant, no indication of tranny flushes, and just poorly maintained cars overall.
8 years and 100k miles is a long time for stuff tom degrade. You really need to see if the previous owners kept on top of things or if their is evidence of neglect.

I ended up buying a coupe instead with 69,500 miles. It's my first newish car so I'm pretty excited!!!!!
The only others I've had are an old VW bug and I've been driving a 240Z. The clock is just like the one on the 240Z, inset into the dashboard.

Gahh, sedan traitor!! Hahaha, just kidding, welcome to the G club.
Now, we need pics of the owner and the ride.
I bought it from a dealer, but not a new car dealer. I called them and they said to bring it on tomorrow after work and they'd take a look at it. Hopefully they will do something about it but I don't think they have to, not sure about that. I live in California but stupidly didn't get any sort of warranty on it.
